Back at it again

Sweep them off their feet.
— Dove chocolate wrapper

It's 3:38 p.m., and I'm sitting at the dining room table doing a little retouching on a recent project. Pinot Noir in the glass next to me. Tunes going.

Oh, and there seems to be an endless supply of Dove chocolates within reach, as well.

2018 marks twelve years since I decided to start following my passion for making beautiful images. Along the way, there have been challenges that life throws at everyone. But I'm happy to continue to be in pursuit of this calling.

I've not been alone in this endeavor, either. There are many friends, co-workers and relatives who have either posed for me as I tried out new lights or a new lens or had to endure hours and hours of my thinking-out-loud brainstorming of series concepts, business plans, workflow changes and website ideas.

I'm very thankful to all of them. If you're reading this, you're likely among this group of wonderful people.

For me, the beginning of a new year allows me to reset my focus and start anew this quest for beautiful images. I hope to see you here many times along the way looking for a portrait that will sweep you off your feet.
